Membership Application

INSTRUCTIONS

Please fill out the form with your computer, check your work and click SUBMIT at the bottom.  Then follow the mailing instructions that you will receive in your confirmation email to complete the application process.   DO NOT PRINT THIS PAGE AND FILL IT OUT WITH PEN, PENCIL OR CRAYON  --  Applications submitted by any means other than this online form will be rejected, no exceptions.  To add insult to injury, we will cash your check anyway.  Fields in RED are required.

When you successfully fill in the form and click SUBMIT, you will get a GREEN success message near the top of this form in big bold letters.  Give yourself a nice round of applause.  If you need to edit inappropriate answers, you will see RED error messages describing the problems.  Fix those problems and then click SUBMIT again until you get the green success message.  Once your application is submitted, you can always return to update your info throughout the year -- save the confirmation email with your username/password for this.

Special notes for particular membership types:

  • RENEWING MEMBERS:  The form below should be filled out with the information you provided last year.  If not, start over with your username and password to avoid a duplicate membership record and wasted time on your part and ours.
  • NEW MEMBERS:  New members are always welcome, but to row with club equipment, you must have prior sculling experience of sufficient quality to pass the Boat Captain's proficiency test.  The only exception to this are members who are taking Learn To Row classes.
  • LEARN TO ROW MEMBERSHIPS:  USRA rules require that students in the Learn To Row classes must be members of the club.  The sections below which are designated with the symbol must be completed.  DO NOT COMPLETE AN APPLICATION FOR LTR/LTS UNLESS YOU HAVE RECEIVED CONFIRMATION THAT YOU ARE IN ONE OF THE TWO SESSIONS FOR THE CURRENT YEAR.  Visit the LTR web page for more info.
  • STUDENT MEMBERSHIPS: Sweep rowers are invited to join the MRRA, but you must have some sculling experience.  One year in an eight may not be sufficient.  We cannot guarantee transition coaching from sweep to sculling.  Please contact the BoatCaptain@merrimackrowing.org prior to completing the membership application for individual consideration.  Student members under the age of 18 must also have parental supervision on the water.  MRRA members can not be responsible for minors unless they are the legal guardians of the minor.
  • FAMILY MEMBERSHIPS:  ALL family members must fill in an application.  The PRIMARY member should apply first, and then subsequent members should apply as "ADDITIONAL FAMILY MEMBER" in Section 5 to assure accounting accuracy.
